WHAT IS A NURSING ASSISTANT?
Nursing Assistants, commonly referred as (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistants. They are important in the healthcare industry. They often help people under their care perform day-to-day tasks and play a vital role at hospitals and other facilities. Although primary responsibility of CNAs is to assist patients with their daily living activities, they are saddled with additional duties as well. As a CNA, you can work in many different places: hospitals, nursing homes, adult care facilities, personal residences and assisting living facilities.

In all of these workplaces, you will generally have similar responsibilities.
Learn about the most common duties you can expect:
- Help Patients With Their Basic Living Activities
- Measuring vital signs
- Helping patients move
- Tending to Patient Issues and Problems
- Housekeeping
- Learn about the job duties you can expect if you choose this career:
- Help clients get dressed and undressed and maintain proper clothing
- Provide and assist with personal services such as bathing and grooming
- Accompany clients to their doctor visits
- Oversee the administration of prescribed medications to clients
